Costa Rica is located in Central America and borders Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south.

It has a population of 4.6 million people and is one of the world’s most biodiverse countries.

Poverty continues to be a major problem in many areas of Costa Rica with almost one-fourth of Costa Ricans living below the national poverty line. Since there is such a high percentage of impoverished and disadvantaged children in Costa Rica, Orphans Heart will be partnering with a local church and ministries to begin constructing and operating a feeding center that will help children and their families receive the food and nutrition that they need.

Mission teams will have the opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of children and their families by ministering with us alongside our national ministry partner.

Feeding programs, children’s discipleship programs, leadership trainings, sports camps and medical clinics are some of the ministries that our teams will focus on while they are serving in Costa Rica. The needs are great, but with your help we can make an eternal impact on the lives of children and their families.

Would you consider joining Orphan’s Heart in being the hands and feet of Christ by helping these precious children and adults? For more information, please contact Orphan’s Heart at missions@orphansheart.org or check out our calendar of upcoming trips.
